VirtualBox service in Windows

Running VirtaulBox as a Windows service can be useful in many scenarios. The current marker share in desktop computer operating systems is about 90 % Windows, 5 % Linux and 5 % other. This means that there is quite a huge potential in connecting the Windows operated computers to the grid.  Most of the current grid solutions use a relative complicated software stack usually including several Linux based libraries or sometimes even raise requirement against the operating system (gLite - SLC 4.5).

If Grid is being run inside a VirtualBox container the host operating system can be almost everything, and the resource providers do not have to configure complicated Grid middleware, but only have to install a provided image in the VirtualBox environment.
